Uprise Prototype

Uprise is an arcade-style high-speed action game in which you fly a kite to defeat an invading alien threat.

In this prototype of the game, you’ll fly your kite up a mountain: through a seaside town, an alpine forest, a snowy tundra, and into the clouds, defeating hordes of alien enemies along the way.

See how fast you can make it to the top of the mountain! How many enemies can you defeat on the way up?

The Uprise prototype is a proving ground for our core mechanics. If we win Annesia Fortnight and receive more development time, we can expand upon these ideas with more challenges — such as new levels and enemy types — and more ways to customize your play experience with a wider kite selection and control options.

What is an Amnesia Fortnight?

Amnesia Fortnight is a type of game jam and a long standing tradition of ours.  It's a two week period (fortnight) in which we forget about the all things we should be working on to pitch one another our wildest game ideas, choose our very favorites, and make prototypes of them. It's fun! It's stressful! It's pretty incredible what you can make in just two weeks!
